  Beau fished the Fishin Pals tournament at Grand Lake last Saturday and placed 4th of 70 boats in his division. Big thanks to Larry coming all the way from Missouri with his boat.
Julie played the part in her school production of "Go West" and we enjoyed the show yesterday evening. Not quite as curly as the younger picture but you see the resemblence    OK, it's been too long since I've posted but that's because I have been sitting all the time and letting myself get tired!! There are countless articles around about the detriments of sitting too much, which so many jobs lull us into each day. I am very surprised how easy this has been to adjust to. You should try it soon if at all possible. I started by taking calls on my headset and standing but this option has led to more consistent time standing. My concern started when I realized my posture was getting poor and that is something I am always trying to correct my kids about. So I figured if I want to "practice what I preach", I better keep my posture from deteriorating. Fortunately Rich & Cartmill had an extra Varidesk in the storeroom so I have been able to try it out.
 We started off the year with a ski trip to Angel fire, NM. Fabulous weather and fun with the family! More importantly no one got hurt especially since Jack and Beau filmed skiing stunts with Beau's new GoPro. Hope your new year is off to a good start!

My kids call me the Fix It Nerd, I’m married to the meanest substitute teacher at Jenks, Michelle, so she has been told. I have 3 wonderful children. Beau, a freshman know it all who thinks he’s going on the Pro Bass tour in 4 years. Jack, a wanting big muscles, 8th grader, chick magnet who thinks he’s Kevin Durrant. And Julie a not so shy anymore 5th grader who now curls her (longest ever) hair and thinks she needs make-up and high heels. We have a lot of fun at our house teasing each other and serving the Lord. Don’t forget Jesus is the reason for the season! Blessings….Michael Jansen   This is a wonderful time of year for so many reasons. I hope everyone had a great, safe Thanksgiving to "count your blessings" and have many plans to foster relationships with family and friends.

Spent some quality time with my teen this weekend and tried something we have wanted to do for a while. Great Saturday night chasing gar on Canadian river.
